Earlier this year I made a big shift in my art business strategy! I had spent the first few months of 2023 contemplating ideas around what was important to me, my values, how I wanted to share my art, and offering opportunities for people to collect my art at an affordable price.
I came up with the idea of silent online auctions (actually I borrowed the idea from a fellow artist) which are held every 3-4 months to my email list. If you'd like to sign up CLICK HERE.
My first step was to remove my art from brick and mortar galleries. Why you ask? Well, galleries expect the prices on your website to match the price an artist reflects on their website. al art, hosting regular online auctions seemed like the great choice!
HOW IT WORKS
I use a platform called 32auctions.com where I post original paintings with opening bids and a buy now option. Depending on the size of artwork the bid increments are $15-$25 CAD.
There'll be anywhere from 5 to 15 paintings available.

Artworks which don't find new homes will later become available on my website at their full value.
To date I've held three online auctions in 2023, with one more coming at the beginning of November. They've all been successful with many paintings finding new homes across Canada and the United States. International shipping is also available.
